MENIN GATE

Starting on 1st July 1928 for four months. Then nightly from
11 November 1929, with only the exception of the four years of
 World War II

The road under the gate closes at 8pm to all traffic and Buglers of
the local Fire Brigade play the last post.

We were given the honour of forming the honour guard. Flying
our flags and laying a wreath during the ceremony.
