TYNE COT CEMETERY

 Tyne Cot cemetery is the largest Commonwealth War Graves
 Commission Cemetery. It is near Ipres (Ypres or Wipers as the
 soliders of WWI called it).

 There are 11,953 burials of which 8,366 (nearly 70%) are
 unknown soliders. The memorial wall commemorates those with  unknown graves from 16 August 1917 onwards. There are
 34,870 names recorded.
